Although Kyrie Irving may not spend the rest of his professional basketball career in Brooklyn, he’s adopted the borough’s love-spreading ways for his Nike Kyrie 7 “1 World 1 People” capsule.
Previewed via a pair in Grade School sizing, the upcoming sneaker indulges in a plethora of colors, with some playing into the style’s theme more than others. The breathable, but supportive upper dons shades of pink accompanied by ostensibly free-hand drawings that introduce red, blue and orange into the mix. Lockdown detailing on the later vamp represent the guard’s jersey number, as well as serve as the canvas for heart and peace sign emblems; medial counterparts feature an all-seeing eye and basketball logo. Elsewhere, light brown sets the stage for more on-theme designs, most evidently on the heel. The tried-and-proven traction indulges in color-blocking reminiscent of earth, with green blobs appearing atop rich blue tread. Lastly, the Swoosh has packaged what appears to be a stencil pack in a special edition “1 World 1 People”-branded shoe box.
Irving’s latest Kyrie 7 proposition is likely to arrive for the whole family soon via Nike.com. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
